We hope you'll use this outline in your own time, as we share together in the same service today.
You can use this outline and the links in it however and whenever you’d like but if you begin at about 9.40am you should have plenty of time to access the first three items before we go Live at 10am with welcomes and some fun before reflecting on the Bible and praying together.
This week we’re going to experiment with a couple of things including watching one of the 3 songs together (and singing along at home if you’d like!).
We pray all that is shared today will be helpful and encouraging for you, as we live out the call to be one united body in Christ. ________
🔹 Be Still for the Presence of the Lord 🔹 Once For All 🔹 Bible Reading || 1 Corinthians 12:12-30 🔹 Bible Reflection & Prayer 🔹 Discussion points 1) What gifts, skills, roles and abilities do you bring to the fellowship of ICF, your church, your workplace or home (e.g. encourager, prayer, leader, teacher, example, giver, servant, host, healer, listener, administrator etc)? 2) How could you use these gifts to serve others this week? 3) Who can you connect with this week to serve? 4) When will you do that (work out when and how to support someone)? 5) Pray for the strength to do that and to let others serve you. 🔹 In Christ Alone 🔹 Benediction || Christ has shown you what is good. What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly before your God. God be with you in your going out, and in your coming in. God be with you in your work, and in your leisure. God be with you in company, and in solitude. God be with you in your life’s journey and at its end.
Go in peace to love and serve the Lord your God and your fellowman, and may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all and all those we love now and forever more. Amen.
BONUS ACTIVITY FOR KIDS Here is a mini Sunday School lesson you can do with your kids at home, based around upcoming Easter. This week we’re looking at the Last Supper.
The following information provides an outline for us to use so that we can share together in the same service today. You can use it however and whenever you’d like but if you begin at about 9.40am you should have plenty of time to access the first three items before we go Live with the reflection at 10.00am. There is a bonus activity for kids at the end of the list which you can access anytime. It points us forward toward Easter by taking up the Easter story with the events of Palm Sunday.
After that you could access the remaining parts of the service, taking some time to pray (use the suggestions for prayer provided if that helps) and talk or journal about the discussion points before concluding with the last song and benediction. You’ll probably be finished by about 10.40am.
I pray it will be helpful and encouraging for us to share in this together. Have a great day filled with the confidence, peace and assurance that comes from Jesus by the Spirit.
Grace & Peace, Pastor Andrew. ________
🔹 Welcome 🔹 10,000 Reasons 🔹 Bible reading || Lamentations 3:21-24 🔹 Bible Reflection 🔹 Christ is Mine Forevermore 🔹 Prayer - Give thanks for God's care, presence and compassion in all our troubles. - Give thanks for one another and pray that we would stay in touch and care well for each other. - Pray for anyone you know of who are infected or otherwise unwell. - Pray for any other church members you know of who are traveling back to and from their passport countries, for the safety and health of those of us who remain here in Phnom Penh and for patience during isolation. - Pray for health systems and professionals to stay well and cope with the pressures they face. - Pray that governments around the world would have wisdom in managing the threat and that we would stay calm and avoid fear. - Give thanks that we can stay connected online through social media. 🔹 Discussion points 1. Recall a hard time in your life. 2. Did you tell God about it honestly? Lamentations 3:19-20 indicate that its OK to be honest with God about the hard times. 3. Yet Lamentations 3:21-22 remind us that we aren’t ‘consumed’ (overcome or defeated) because God loves us – He’s still there and He’s still compassionate. 4. How are you aware of God’s compassion and faithfulness being new TODAY (Lamentations 3:22-23)? 5. How will you wait on God TODAY? 🔹 Won My Heart 🔹 Benediction
