At ICF we are happy to offer age appropriate Sunday School classes for your children. Scripture Union materials form the basis of our Sunday School curriculum. Children will be dismissed for class at the point in the service noted in the bulletin, and divided into the following groups according to their age at the beginning of the school year:
MORNING SERVICE We presently have 3 age groups of children and youth aged 0 – 14+. It has been a joy to see these groups grow both in depth of faith and in number, with close on 25 young folks presently on our register. We are blessed to have a core team of committed teachers though always remain keen to encourage others to get involved in different ways to support the program develop. If you would like to volunteer to help with the ICF South morning service Sunday School on a regular or occasional basis, please contact Sunday School Coordinator Liz Byles.
Bubbles: Preschool 1-Kindergarten
Splash & X-Stream: Grade 1-2 & Grade 3-5
Youth: Grade 6-12
We also have a creche room next to the 3rd floor auditorium with books and toys for babies and toddlers, and space for nursing mothers to tend to their babies.
AFTERNOON SERVICE We have a Craft Corner set up in the corner of church, during our afternoon service, for children, young people and also adults to engage with the message of the Bible verse the sermon is based on through craft. Each week, a leader prepares a craft that is linked to the Bible verses and then those who wish to can move to the Craft Corner to make something during the sermon. Children under 5 bring someone with them to supervise. To volunteer to help in this ministry please contact Sunday School Coordinator Sarah Chhin.
CHILD PROTECTION We are very aware of the issue of Child Protection in today's world. We have a thorough ICF Child & Youth Protection policy in place and we aim to implement it fully. Our Protection Officer: Margaret Posnett is happy to talk with you about any Child Protection related issue.
