We are excited that Andrew and Liz Glover from Australia will be coming to serve at ICF this November! Following an overwhelmingly positive vote from our congregations, Andrew has accepted the role as ICF's new Senior Pastor.
Andrew (57) and Liz have been married for 35 years and have 4 adult sons and three grandchildren. Andrew spent the first 6 years of his life in India, before moving to Wollongong, Australia where he grew up. He began going to church there in 1977 and began to hear the Bible being taught with an emphasis on the need to trust Jesus personally as our Saviour, to be forgiven and become God's friend. After about 6 months of hearing about Jesus and seeing the difference he made in his friend's lives, Andrew put his trust in the Lord on 18th Dec 1977.
Andrew completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Wollongong University from 1979-1981 before working for a bank in 1982-1983. In 1984 he took up a ministry role at his former university as an assistant to the Chaplain through to the end of 1985.
From 1986-1989 he studied for his Bachelor of Theology and Diploma of Theology at Moore Theological College in Sydney after which he was an Assistant Pastor in 2 churches till 1998 when he and Liz moved to their current position in Gerringong, 90 minutes south of Sydney.
Andrew believes his strengths and gifting for Christian ministry and for the role of Pastor at ICF are relational skills, joy in preaching, 20 years experience leading a similar sized church, and a desire to see ICF flourish in changing times. He and Liz also have a sense of humour and joy in fellowship and a growing love for Cambodia during 8 previous visits. They are very excited to share in the ministry of growing together as servants of Christ individually and corporately, as we serve one another, this nation and our world in Christian mission.
Aside from all of that, Andrew and Liz also love travel, music, movies, food, hospitality, laughing and conversation. Andrew is also pretty keen on motorsports, cricket and fixing things.
